Among the most prominent recent assignments in M.C.E.’s portfolio were two parallel projects delivered for the media and real life entertainment giant Discovery, Inc. in Manhattan.
The core-and-shell part of the project called for the installation of two 2,500 Amp busways running vertically from the second floor to the 13th floor, two switch boards in the UPS room, a 300 kVA transformer, a Schneider Electric UPS system, and four 400 Amp power bars in the equipment room. The interior fit-out of the office and studios included a complete lighting system and Lutron controls, all wiring, distribution boards, high-end lighting fixtures in executive offices and meeting rooms, as well as trays for telecom and data wiring. Within the studios, M.C.E. also installed power for the lighting grids and additional power supply for the production and test kitchens.
